CaribbeanDear Simone,
This is such an interesting question on so many levels.
First, we don't know that there is a "next level." It might be that once a Player has stopped reacting/responding from beliefs and judgments and fears, that they are no longer any use to their Infinite I (having "won" the Human Game), who then arranges their death. On the other hand, there might well be a "next level" in which a Player with peace of mind can perform other functions for their Infinite I. Frankly, a Player with peace of mind won't care which is true. It's only an ego that cares.
In terms of "let's see how much shit I can throw our way," I think that also depends on the relationship/agreement between the Infinite I and the Player. If the Player wants to volunteer to see how much shit they can take and still not lose their peace of mind, that might be an interesting experiment for its Infinite I. (i.e., Job in the Bible.)
It's also possible that an Infinite I might throw a lot of shit on its Player in order for that Player to perform a specific function for the Infinite I that the Player normally would not pay attention to. But the Player would always be aware that they volunteered their services and would not lose their peace of mind.
In other words, while the goal of the Player might be peace of mind, that's not the goal of its Infinite I. The goal of the Infinite I is to receive neurochemical transmissions (all kinds of them) from its Player in order to vicariously experience emotions.
I am actually just starting a new book on this very topic, called The Untold History of Earth: Who Are We Really?, in which I will reveal my most recent findings about who the Infinite I really is as well. So thanks for your question.

CaribbeanDear Simone,
I'm not so sure Jed would agree with you that his goal is "enlightenment." In fact, he takes a pretty dim view of enlightenment, as I read him. "Waking up from the dream," yes. Personally, I don't see how anyone can achieve peace of mind unless that have awakened from the dream. So for me that would be a good starting point on your way to peace of mind.
I don't usually quote my former boss, L. Ron Hubbard, but I do think he got it right when he put "Serenity of Being" at the top of his Emotional Tone Scale. And I've never met anyone who didn't want that more than anything else.
Awakening from the dream, no-self, and even enlightenment are all steps on the way to peace of mind, or serenity of being if you will. You could also say they are all prerequisites for arriving there.
Jed, for example, doesn't talk about non-judgment, but it is an integral part of awakening from the dream. Likewise, achieving no-self by letting go of the ego. At least, that's true on the path I am talking about to the Pacific Ocean.
Hope that answers your question....

CaliforniaDear Cecelia,
No, we can't agree.... at least I can't agree. But I also need to remind you this is a Model, based on the best evidence available to date. As a Model, it is meant to be tried and tested, which means that the Model is not necessary the "truth."
"We can not pretend to comprehend any sense behind it all." True. We could throw up our hands and give up because the task is too overwhelming, or we can look at the evidence we have so far and build Models of what might be the bigger picture.
I invite you, instead of intellectually criticizing this Model, to test it in your own life. If it brings you more peace of mind (and you seem pretty upset), then great! If not, then it's not the right Model for you, or maybe you can improve upon it.
Lastly, "we" ARE consciousness, so when you say "We are so little, consciousness is so vast," it is a contradiction in your own terms.
What I sense is an ego that needs to make you feel small, when in fact a Player in the Human Game is making a very important contribution to its Infinite I and is highly valued.

I have to trust you on that one.

CaribbeanDear Simone,
There is NO reason to change your reaction and responses to your experiences, for the very reasons you stated, UNLESS you experience discomfort with the reaction/response you've chosen. The problem is that most people, when they have the discomfort, try to change the experience (which they cannot do) rather than changing their reaction/response. This Model is all about recognizing that peace of mind comes only when we let go of the judgments, beliefs, opinions and fears that create the discomfort and stop spending all our time and energy trying to change something we can't - the experience.
So if you're totally happy with your reaction/responses, by all means throw my book away. As you said, your Infinite I is happy with whatever reaction/response you choose, so it's really all about YOUR satisfaction with your choices.

Thanks for your most interesting explanation of your 2-line poem. I honestly never thought about being the cake rather than the baker or the maker. It's always great to have someone present me with a new perspective, and for that I thank you.

CADear Randall,
Thanks. Interesting article. Just so people know a little of what it's about to know if they're interested in reading it, it starts off...
"Loop quantum gravity seeks to reconcile general relativity and quantum mechanics... It is a cautious attempt because it uses only hypotheses already contained within these theories, suitably rewritten to make them compatible. But its consequences are radical: a further profound modification of the way we look at the structure of reality."

Washington StateDear Tom,
I would appreciate some clarification and elucidation of this statement, put in terms I use. For example, who is the "baker" and who is the "maker" (Infinite I versus Player)? And how does this square up with Bashar's statement that "Any idea, any inspiration, any imagination ‘you’ have ever had doesn’t come from the physical mind portion of you; it comes from the ‘higher self’ portion of you through the receiver – the brain – and is translated by the brain into a vibration that the physical mind then perceives as a reflected reality."

OntarioDear Andrea,
Thanks for the news of your progress, and congratulations for leaving the cocoon. Yes, I find 10 years to be about right. I liked this quote from a YouTube video recommended by Tom Pavlik... "When a person is only used to darkness, then they must gradually become accustomed to the light." So since we are all only used to the darkness of Plato's Cave, it makes sense that it will take time to adjust. No one should think that 10 years is mandatory.... some might do it more quickly, some more slowly. But it's a good guess to start off with.
But doesn't it feel good not to have any more questions and be done?!
Thanks for letting me know the Donate button wasn't working. I've fixed it now. Forgot to update the code when I updated the website.
Good-bye to you too, butterfly. Keep in touch if you want.

FinlandDear Esa,
Great attitude! A perfect example of the peace of mind that results from letting go of judgments. I congratulate you!

No SelectionDear The King,
Because your Infinite I wants you to keep feeling bad every time your parents give you money until you process that discomfort and are open to accepting money from your Infinite I from any source it wants to use without judgment or beliefs. Better run The Process and do Spiritual Autolysis on this "feeling bad when my parents give me money" and let go of that judgment and discomfort. Meanwhile, your Infinite I may have other sources to send you money, but it doesn't want to use them until you process this thing with your parents.

Washington StateDear Tom,
I'm watching it right now. Along with terrific graphics, there are some thoughts that align nicely with this Model, like...
"When we are identified with our character – our Persona – this is Maya, the illusion of the self. Samadhi is awakening from the dream of your character in the play of Life."
"In order to experience Samadhi, it is necessary to turn attention away from the shadows – away from the thoughts – towards the light. When a person is only used to darkness, then they must gradually become accustomed to the light." (So THAT'S why it takes 10 years, according to Jed McKenna!)
"Awakening is not about getting rid of the mind or the matrix. On the contrary, when you’re not identified with it, then you can experience the play of life more fully, enjoying the show as it is, without craving or fear. In the divine teachings, this was called the Game of Leela, the game of playing in Duality."

CADear Randall,
Yes, it is the movie suggestion at the end of Chapter 11. It is also on all my recommended movie lists. But it's such a great movie - and so pertinent to this topic - that it doesn't hurt to be reminded to watch it again.
